So it's nostalgia time and the audience can be subdivided as follows
Men of a certain age (Moi included)
Trainee hairdressers all called Trish or Sharon who know all the words to Eternal Flame
Manchester University's **** Soc.
..and that's about it! Support The Lollies vary between twee, naff and New Order. Better when they're New Order. The Bangles hit to the stage to Hazy Shade of Winter and strike a fair balance between all the hits and the new Doll Revolution CD. Interesting to note that most of their hits were in the pre-CD era, as witnessed by the collection of vinyl album covers that people were looking to get signed after. Encores included a sadly poignant, giving the outbreak of war, "Eternal Flame" which sees teary eyes on stage and be-lumped throats in the audience. A double return of Hero takes a fall and something else I didn't recognise before it's off to get one's photo taken with Ms. Hoffs,(Look closely - that's a Fulks T-shirt next to SH) who along with the others is somewhat unwilling to press the flesh.
All the cops in the Doughnut shop say -
7/10
