I got asked if I fancied this on Wednesday and went along not really sure whether the drive from Stoke to Nottingham and then on to Hull would be worth it - well damn worth it, as it turned out. TH are a husband and wife duo who seem to be perpetually on tour - they'd played the same festival as us a couple of weeks ago and I hadn't seem them then, as I had to decorate my stairs...my loss. A hugely entertaining and more varied evening than could be possibly expected from a stand up electric bass, guitar and banjo. They'd run out of their new CD - "Delivery Boy" so they burnt some off and sold them cheap and promsised to send the full deal to anyone who e-mailed them. Loads of highlights, but my personal faves were "Magnolia tree" "Waffle house booth" and the faux-singalong with the impossibly long title about being expelled from Florida Bible school....
